Windows XP CD not bootable?

I've downloaded my free copy of Windows XP from MSDN:AA which comes in the form of an ISO. I've tried putting this ISO on a CD, and I've tried extracting it and putting the result on the CD, but either way my laptop refuses to boot from it. I've even tried taking the hard drive off the boot list, and still it won't boot from the CD. What am I doing wrong?

When at bios most new laptops have an option like f9 - boot options, hit this and select the cd and then keep watching the screen as it should as you to press any key to boot from cd. If you have no boot options, go into your bios and set the cd-rom as the topmost option and then ensure to keep watching the screen to press any key to boot from cd
If you don't get the above then you didn't burn the copy correctly. Ensure you select the option - burn iso to cd, select the iso and put in a blank cd

Thanks marc. Stopped using my head and just followed instructions and it worked first time. Sorry for the wasteful thread!
