I want to convert a hard disk of mine to NTFS, it is currently FAT32 and contains data which I do not want to loose. Does the "/fs:ntfs" conversion command damage the drive in any way?
It won't usually damage the data but due to that nature of the operation, if it's interrupted, you could lose the whole volume and all data on it. It's similar to doing a firmware upgrade really.
