Ok so its been over 6 months since I last did a reinstall and windows is grinding to a halt. However I really dont have the time at the moment to do a complete reinstall, got loads of work on and cant be without PC for the time it takes.

Can anyone reccomend any other ways of injecting a bit more life back into windows with out a complete reinstall. Needs to be software options, no hardware upgrades, not that it should need any lol, got 2gb of ram and opteron.

Thanks in advance

Tried defragmenting?
Delete any old programs you don't use anymore from Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.
Clear any Internet cache and temporary files (use the Disk Cleanup wizard).
