Folks,

Could you help me with these:

1) My P5Q Deluxe comes in with AC'97 chipset. Under Vista, the sound quality is pretty good and you can set up a number of parameters to tune the effect like Bass, Treble...etc But once I switch to Windows XP, these features are gone that's number 1, number 2 the sound effect is not as good. Are there any fix for this?

2) Is it possible to release the "Cache memory" so that I have more "available memory"?

Thanks in advance.
Peter

Your sig says you have 4GB RAM. Under XP you won't see any benefit from releasing any more memory. Under Vista that memory will be allocated for a reason

BTW I saw your thread raging about not being able to get a COD game to work for you, I'd suggest leaving those settings alone
