Dead easy one, Ive never installed SATA drives or drivers before.

Am I correct in saying that if Im installing Windows XP with SP2 included, I do not need to usea floppy disk to install SATA drivers??

Depends on the motherboard, if it is Nforce4 based(or any AM2?) or Intel based(i.e. pretty much any socket 775 motherboard) then you shouldn't need to install SATA drivers unless you are setting up a Raid array.

Thanks for your help, its a Gigabyte DS3 (socket 775). I wont be using RAID.

So essentially Im just physically attaching the drives and installing WinXp as I would with a standard IDE drive?
