Windows XP themes

Where can i get windows XP themes without the need of a third party software such as StyleXP

If you patch your XP, make sure you get the right one, theres one for SP2 and one for SP3, so watch out for that.

i just tried that so i didnt patch the .dll etc...

when i apply it puts windows classic theme

im running xp 64bit

edit: actually it works now, nice theme but to similar to the default one

Theres also one called Zune theme, its black and orange, I quite like it.

Get the uxtheme patcher, then go to deviant art and search there loads on there, then your not limited to only a few boring ones. slanxp3 is what I recommend, although I used the taskbar from a theme called shiftie so slightly different.

Just read this topic and was sick of using windowsblinds on my last os install and since new os install i been with stock theme but now with that theme enabler patch i got a nice theme now.

Zune is where it's at, I have this on all my XP systems, Softer on the eye & just the right combo of colours :cool:

Yea I have tried the windows 7 theme, quite nice, the extra programs that allow you to move the windows bar programs around is handy too.

You should get a icon theme pack next, I prefer the new ones to XP's one, they are starting to look their age now.

Updated from image i posted not so long ago.

My desktop with new win 7 theme i found, and my icon layouts. Also using vista icons and folder options.

What I would find really hilarious is say someone changes their default XP theme to that of the standard Vista one, they were so drunk that they end up getting Vista device drivers and when they try to install them and it doesn't work, they will be there thinking "WTF is wrong?". Hell this could even make for a wonderful office prank for XP computers

I currently just need to sort out the Standard Button bar in folders as I still use the normal XP ones. Then again I may not even change it since I'm not too bothered about that. But the Taskbar and Window Titles look a lot better now.

taskbarshuffle is what I use, fantastic lil program dunno what I done without it.
