'er indoors runs an old astra mk3 - it's far from a great motor but for the little trips she does it's fine. last night some genetic detritus stoved the screen in on it and two other motors on my block

unfortunately she's TPFT

so that's my day sorted trying to find cheap glass for it

Try the local scrappie, although fitting it yourself can be a royal pain!

Check your policy smallprint, a lot of TPFT policies cover glass.

Some scrap yards can also fit the glass for you, I know the ones around here do

wtf is this country coming to, when scrotes can smash up peoples property and get away with it?

If you'd seen them doing it and went out to stop them, you'd have probably had a knife in your guts for your troubles.

Fitting them isn't so bad.

Getting them out of the donor car without cracking them is where the skill lies.

Knock out the screen completely & then beg ,borrow or steal a crash helmet from your local friendly (!) biker.

Iirc, you are then legal to drive the car without the screen.

Double check - I could very well be wrong on that!

- I know a mate did a similar thing and got away with it despite a pull.

More like if you laid a finger on the scum you would have got in trouble and they would have got more benefits after being diagnosed with some fake disiese that makes them smash windscreens.
