Wine tonight?

Bingo :)

They have stayed in that case for the last 2 1/2 years.

Cool :)

Don't think I'd have it in me to leave it cellared for that long...:o

Then again I am in no position to go and spend over a grand on wine :p

Not looking to derail you're thread here Spie, but I'm not really a big fan of wine.

So tonight we'll be sampling this:

A lovely special reserve that taste's like liquid Christmas Pud :D

Hope you and everyone else has a good night tonight - Happy New Year :)

Well much as I'd like too if I'm on the alcohol tonight it will be Whisky. Probably polish off the blended gunge my dad gave me. Then it will be Auchentoshan single malt goodness :D

Got a couple of nice bottles of red, 2 for £10 at my friendly superstore.

Whilst not as classy as Spie's one sip for a tenner wine, i am sure that after about a bottle and a half, mine will start to taste just as nice.:)

Tonight i will break open a bottle of Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 1998 around £95.00 quid a bottle not in the same league im afraid.

£220 F-ing pounds?! You're mental! I hate wine anyway so the price doesn't do it much justice for me. :p

I bought my parents a bottle of 2003 Cheval Blanc. It may not be the best vintage but I can say from the other bottle I've had opened early.. it was superb :D :D and redefined my appreciation of red wine although at £220/bottle I would expect nothing less.

The drinking list tonight involves:
* Random selection of bottle beer - including Innis & Gunn, Golden Glory etc.
* Bollinger RD 1997
* Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial for the girlies..

I have to say the idea of just kicking back with a nice bottle of red, good food and great conversation with friends is a damn good way to pass the eve :D
