Got a couple of nice bottles of red, 2 for £10 at my friendly superstore.

Whilst not as classy as Spie's one sip for a tenner wine, i am sure that after about a bottle and a half, mine will start to taste just as nice.

£220 F-ing pounds?! You're mental! I hate wine anyway so the price doesn't do it much justice for me.

I bought my parents a bottle of 2003 Cheval Blanc. It may not be the best vintage but I can say from the other bottle I've had opened early.. it was superb and redefined my appreciation of red wine although at £220/bottle I would expect nothing less.

The drinking list tonight involves:
* Random selection of bottle beer - including Innis & Gunn, Golden Glory etc.
* Bollinger RD 1997
* Moet & Chandon Rose Imperial for the girlies..

I have to say the idea of just kicking back with a nice bottle of red, good food and great conversation with friends is a damn good way to pass the eve
