Wing Mirror smashed!!

Came out of friends house today to find my drivers side wing mirror broken and all the casing ripped off and in bits! Car parked on road. Some git must have smashed into it and then drove off!!

Having it replaced tomorrow. £200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: (Suzuki Swift 2011 plate)

Some people just dont care what damage they do or how much it costs people.

Just having a moan!
 
£200 seems like an awful lot! I had a Corsa wing mirror replaced from a local scrappy (he even fitted it) for £10! You going through main/indy dealers?

Of all the motor vehicles on the road to get annoyed, I can't imagine a motorcyclist being that annoyed by a parked car that he/she would smash a wing mirror. I mean, they can easily manoeuvre around obstacles whereas a car cannot!

Likely a car or drunk instead. My Civic had a drunk play football with the wing mirror once. I found it in pieces half way down the road! Thankfully it was a £15 replacement :p
 
Try scrap yards, I picked up a full electric mirror for £20.. The colour coded part was the wrong colour, another £20 to sort that.

Fit it yourself, save a fortune! A brand new one for me would have been £400?!?!

I know, i should shop around but not very good with cars!

I parked correctly and apparently it happens all the time on this road. £200 is a lot and it is from the main dealer. Just want it done and dusted. Thanks though chaps
 
I guess its a colour coded mirror, might have been worth trying to get a second hand mirror, I got one for mates E90 a while back for £65 and it was £25 to get it painted up.

Op seriously ring round some local breakers yards!

I just wanted a clip on colour coded clip on cover but even on eBay they were silly expensive, in the end i picked up a whole electric mirror unit for 20 quid, ok the clip on cover was the wrong colour but that's easily sorted for a lot less than £200!
