Wing Mirror smashed!!

If it makes you feel better I came out of a mates house one new years eve around 15 years ago and found my 325i had be driven into!! £2500 Repairs.. Happy New year!

I know but i would hate to find it was not suitable. As i said before i am not confident with car parts.

I bought one off ebay a while ago, found the one I needed for 15 delivered. So I decided to try the nearby scrap yard, who wanted 35!

Never bothered going back for anything else, always just use ebay now :)

A couple of years ago I walked out my GF's house on Boxingday morning to find my car had been driven into and written off.... Merry Christmas

I feel your pain :p

Problem is, would you rather lose a wing mirror, or get have the side of your car scraped?
I suppose it could happen either way.

well i haven't had my car scraped or lost a mirror since i tuck my mirrors in.
thats like saying to people who leave there cars in gear, if it gets smacked in the arse , would you rather the gear box was smashed up or just a small dent.

Well guys, i bought the mirror from the dealer for £122 and easily took the old one off and fitted the new one! All done and dusted. I am not comfortable with ebay and would hate to buy one to find it wasnt exactly the right one too.

To think the Garage wanted £50 to fit the new mirror when it took me 10 mins to remove and replace! (After researching on youtube!)

Well done mate.

I've lost several wing mirrors over the years (Not down to me!), I just buy another on ebay. Get it colour coded by my local indie and fit it myself. Tends to only be a few bolts and a connector or two.

Had my old fiestas wing mirrors kicked off in the past. It was just a case of clipping it back on. Wouldn't like the same thing to happen to a modern mirror with heating etc.
