Wings of Prey Full Game/Demo is available here

It is the Full version of Wings of Prey (~6gb) locked to just 2 planes. It can be unlocked to the full game when you buy the Activation Key.

The Developers said they are working on a smaller download demo, for those that feel ~6gb is excessive for a demo.

Edit:- Smaller Demo (~1.6gb) available here - thanks Dano

looks nice but i wont be able to download the demo until tomorrow as im about to start playing mw2 for the night :o

i have IL2 Forgotten Battles from when it came out but for some reason i could never get on with the game, is this any easier to get into?

Apparently it was released on Christmas Day from what I can gather. The release was very muted. I think they need to give their PR guy a Kick in the bum.

Silversurfer, I'm still downloading, so can say for sure, but from what I've read it would be comparable in realism to the original release of IL2.

dling at 800kbs but limiting it to 500 so i can watch iplayer at the same time :D

the recently released 360 version is a lot easier to get into than il2.
i bought the il2 pack the other day from steam and its very sim....i was hoping for arcadey action :p

this should be the same as the 360 with an non-realistic option but hopefully miles better graphics

With a name like that I was kinda hoping it was a game where you are an eagle or a falcon or something, taking down small birds and rodents.

:(

The more I play this the more I like it, dialling in my TrackIR and getting my controls sorted has taken a while but I'm getting there now and it just keeps feeling better and better :D

The visuals are just bloody amazing, cannot believe how my ageing pc copes so well with the lush graphics of the English summer countryside, fantastic stuff :)

I agree Dano. Spent a good 20 minutes on it and loving some of the effects (Diving through the clouds and getting rain ont he screen and shooting down the enemy and filling the outside of my canopy with oil!) . Evening running nicely on my lappy and still looks pretty! May even purchase it int he morning! Going to get it setup with the TrackIR tomorrow.

I'm a complete flight sim dunce but one of the best games I've ever played was "knights of the sky" for the amiga. I love flying games but they tend to be a bit simmy and it all looks very daunting.
Will the "arcade" mode on this be OK for me? I don't have any fancy joysticks or anything. I would like to dip my toe in anorak mode too.
On the multiplayer for these types of games, do you find many servers running "arcade" mode or is it mainly just for big boys?
Just wanted to get your verdict before I fire up my modem for the big 6gb slog.

I have a £20 sietek cyborg evo joystick, I do have trackir though :p

I also like arcedy mode and this is simply great on arcadey mode.

I really like it, I have bought it.

I feel pretty much the same as you clippa. Think I might buy a cheap joystick and see how I get on.

I actually bought il-2 1946 when it was on offer on steam for about £7 i think. But I didn't have a joystick and it seemed very daunting and thought it would be really difficult to get into.

i bought this too and i have il2 1946 also but this is great looking, easy to get into, got on multi player no problem and no f.....g jaggies like in the distance on 1946,i just sold it on the 360 as with a 1gig vid card you get xtra textures etc , glad i bought it and it looks like they will give it good support with updates etc, here is the website with forums etc

or in the steam sale for a fiver but after playing the demo of this i wish i hadn't bought 1946....it simply will not get any play time.

im more of an acrade fan and graphics whore when it comes to airplane games so this game is perfect for that...(yes it does include realistic ..not that i will be touching that option).
