Poll: Winter 2021/22 - Will we see lots of snow?

It's that time again when we discuss what the upcoming Winter will be like - We do this every year

This summer has been dreadful for many in the south, in fact with only 60-65% sun duration, it could be one of the dullest for many years. Although it seems to be a better summer further north. Will this affect the Winter? Will it be mild or will be get some decent snowfall like last Winter? We shall wait and see

Has it? I just moved back to Leeds this last weekend but spent the rest of the year in South Herts (pretty much North London, within M25) and we had a glorious summer. Not quite as good as last year but still it was warm every day from Early May to last Saturday.

Only 65% of the Average Sun Duration in the south, been a fabulous Summer up north though.. All to do with the Jet Stream and a pesky high being in the wrong place for us lol

Hey, we had a good amount of snowfall last year . This Summer weather in Autumn is rather nice

Winter 2010/11 was the longest as snowed most weeks between end Nov and mid March.

Would love that to happen again, was a really special Winter that one!

The latest update from the Swedish Met is well worth a read, very bullish on the idea of blocked conditions continuing into January with an increasing influence from southerly tracking low pressure systems, seems they're also going with the ECM. Far more bullish than the Met Office would ever be.

This has been the worst 'winter' in years.

Not just because of the lack of snow, but here in this part of the uk it's been depressing with endless cloudy days and a cold wind for months! ( Today's sun was brief )
