Just a heads up for Wed/Thursday - Storm. This is the current track, but other charts have showed it going into France.

so just normal weather then for this time of yr .. as you look back to the 70's 80's and the rest you see it is we and Ireland are the first hit off the atlantic ..who would have thought it .. ????

Well... Yeh kinda

Last year it went from HOT to Cold/Cool in October, this year it's gone from Dry/Humid to Floods/Humid.

The weather is completely different than last year, and I'm going to call it that at some point this winter it's going to get a lot colder than last year as well.

First hints

Central Europe absolutely frigid, especially next week! Completely different to last year. Very cold tonight with some areas going down to 0C and 5C today

Car frozzy over this morning even inside of windscreen had moisture quite a lot too.

Never known that

That also happens to people who own Civics, it leaks into the boot under the carpet... Usually where the spare tyre goes :(. So damp + inside = Frozen

Struggling to keep the house warm although it was a lot colder last year as I had no loft insulation, wall insulation and old storage heaters. ECO 7 Storage heaters set to 18C and every so often it pumps out heat to keep warm. Worst of the cold seems to be the hallway via bathroom and front door. Council's wisdom for the bathroom to put open vents

apparently its not, martin Lewis had a big thing about it
The Energy Saving Trust, an independent organisation that provides advice on energy use, is unequivocal on this point. It says that keeping your heating on all day uses more fuel and so is more costly.

Unless it's a storage heater, and there's no choice on that :(
