The Malverns were my playground in the early sixties. Out from dawn to dusk some days. We lived just down from the Wyche cutting and I was in primary school. Tobogganing was awesome and I cracked my front tooth aged ten doing just that.

Its crazy accessible. You can get up to the peaks quite quickly from the main road/town.

Snow in Lincolnshire, started small but large flakes are coming down now, inch and a half settled in about an hour.

Sunday into Monday overnight could be interesting - quite a band of rain moving north across the country, which could be quite heavy snow on the leading edge (for anywhere north of about Birmingham) but quickly turning to rain except on high ground.

Chilly here now but not really cold. Was colder though the day. It’s either been light cloud or fog all night, time to put the telescope away and give up me thinks.

Up to -2 from -7 here yesterday

Had snow last night, not a lot but looks priddy for the few hours it's likely to last

Had the log burner in the kitchen on for about an hour so sat having toast and coffee establishing how little I can get away with doing today

Is just above 0 here in Malvern

But at home it's going to be 8c

So it's back to the winter I hate 10c for rest of the week and wet and miserable.

Glad I got out yesterday
