Winter tyre advice please.

Some really interesting stuff here, when I swap my winters back on next week I may consider leaving them on after the winter. They had hardly any wear on them at all when I took them off in the spring, they drove a hell of a lot better than my cheapy ditchfinders which are on now (never again!).

I too had assumed that they'd wear out within a few days/weeks once the weather warms up.

Nope, the increased wear is nowhere near as bad - I've seen people using them all year even in countries where there's 35+ degrees for 3-4 months (to put it into perspective the asphalt temperature at noon is probably around 80 degrees celsius some days) and they still go through summer with no problems. they probably last 15.000 miles instead of 18.000 and they will not perform as well as a UHP summer tyre but in the grand scheme of things they will be decent in any given conditions.
