Winter upgrade

Digging the build and especially the green and black scheme.

As for the temps, what's your new block? Still a Velocity? If so, may need to step it up to something else? But yeah it's a chunky CPU that.

Yeah it's stil a velocity waterblock but the nickel/plexi version. Actually prefer how it looks
Would have gone for the magnitude but couldn't find it in stock anywhere. Seems everything is out of stock at the moment, not just CPU & GPUs :D

In other news, I decided to modify the top of the case this morning.

Will get it resprayed at some point & fit the dust filter into the slot. Just need to cut it down to size.

Also, binned off the green 24 pin cable, just doesn't look right. Gone for a black braided cable which looks much better IMO

That's some nice Dremel work there. Should deffo improve the airflow.

And as for stuff being out of stock, tell me about it. I have a ton of open orders and only one has shipped so far. It's a waiting game right now.

Seems to have done the trick in regard to my temps.

Had a bit of a gaming session this afternoon, & CPU maxed out at 65c, GPU 40c & water 34c
Thats with PBO enabled, & fans running at 600rpm

Happy enough with that, all core is boosting to between 4.4-4.5ghz & single core is between 4.9-5.1ghz

Well after 4 years of flawless running, & little maintenance other than a couple of fluid changes & cleaning out filters the time has come for a small upgrade

Picked up a new to me, Asus Tuf 4090 with front & back water blocks fitted.
Spent this evening draining the system & fitting new tubing. Card is all ready to fit but one minor oversight on my part was I only had a 750w PSU installed.

Quick browse & a new Seasonic Vertex 1200w PSU is ordered & will be here in the morning.

My old launch day 1080i FE has been a great card & never gave me any issues, certainly the best card I've owned I'm hoping the 4090 serves me as well.

Pics of the update to follow once all fitted :D

All installed & set up now, most if not all the air is now out of the loop
Have to say this 4090 with the water blocks on is a beast of a card !

Bit of a gaming session this morning & card maxed out at low to mid 50c & water was around 35-36c, happy enough with that.
One thing I will swap out later is the cable for the GPU, will get one with a 90 degree connector so it can go behind the tubing.

The soft tubing is very well done on this one. I'm tempted to go that way with QDCs for my next build because hard tubing is a bit of a pain for upgrades/maintenance. Nice job mate
