Wipe Hard drive

Whats the best way to wipe a hard drive, I'll be getting a SSD soon enough and I'll be doing a clean install from a USB boot drive onto the SSD.

Once everything is up and running and I connect my hard drive back up, what would be the best way to wipe/format the drive to get rid of the existing OS/files and then use it just for storage purposes.

There's no reason to wipe it, just do a quick format in disk management.

else do it from the windows setup disk.

or acronis true image home, you can run a special wipe within windows while its doing it
