Wiper squeak driving me crazy!

When my Ford wipers gave up I bought Bosch ones and like others on here I soon went back to Ford one.
Hadn't bought wipes for years and got ten pound note out - had to get two more out.
I remember buying tyre for £30 and felt ripped off.

Change blades once a year, thought this was the norm. Once a year the old blades start to judder, then you know it's time for new blades.

Once the blade rubber has worn you'll just end up leaving lines across the film on the windscreen though which over time get deeper and deeper, you notice them when it rains and clean wipers wipe over but you see faint lines of the old blades where they've left their indentations in the windscreen film. I prefer to just replace the blades rather than reduce the quality of the windscreen which then needs furtehr maintenance as road grime settles into the newly formed micro crevices.

Suppose it boils down to how long you intend on keeping the car, I guess many folks will have a car for a couple of years before moving on and making this sort of issue the next guy's problem :p
