Wipers from the Bay

I bought wipers from the bay of e, for £6, with free delivery. They're aero flat, and absolutely awesome! That's £6 for a pair, 20" and 15". Just thought I'd recommended them to others on here!

Mine were initially awesome but then became really noisey, I'm talking horror film type shrieks as they wiped

Are Bosch ones not like £10 a set? I'd rather pay the extra couple of quid for reliability.

I'd avoid personally, just renewed my bosch aerotwins for £30, they last about 2 years so well worth paying more to get quality items.

Don't know, I got them recommended by my cousin. He's had them for well over a year no problems.

I've had two sets of bosch and find them to be appalling in terms of longevity. Been running a set which cost £4 from partco since the summer and still working to about 90% of original quality.

With regards to Bosch wipers, don't you need to replace the entire wiper arm assembly for them to be awesome? :eek:

Depends which sort you want to buy, back in 2004 or whever Bosch started making the new style wipers we found that the normal wiper blade quality went downhill.

Bosch sell Aerotwin style wipers which fit existing arms but i think the clips and how far they stick out make them look silly.

can't say I'd spend £30 on wipers personally. Mine were from wilcos, £1.97 per blade, no problems with them after 6-7 months.

Worth every penny if you do a lot of driving in the rain, no streaks, smudges or missed bits on the screen, they run silently.

During this time of the year with dark nights, lots of spray and fast country roads they pay for themselves, fantastic product.

the wipers on my e92 are crap, I need to get some more: I've not done any research yet, but they look like a strange type!

Anyone with experience of whats good and whats not for this type? They look to be frameless

They hook onto the existing wiper arms. I so far think they're worth it especially for £6 so can't really go wrong. How long they last, time will tell. I'll give it a month, and see how they act up.

If anyone has a Costco near them, the Goodyear ones they sell in there are very good. £12 for the fronts and they've rivalled any of the BOSCH wipers I've had.

Been using these on my cars for ages now. Cracking value and have'nt let me down. Nowhere near as prone to freezing as a standard wiper either.

Bosch 18 quid for the E90 aero flat, E46 bosh were the bigger ones at £20.

How can anyone run a car and not be able to afford that ....

Measure your wiper blade size. Any cars will fit, along as the length is the same. For example I got mine as advertised for the Honda Jazz.

I like the Valeo flat blades myself, "Silencio X.TRM" or something - previous set lasted ages.

Would be interested to hear how these eBay ones last.

The quality is completely varied. I've bought ebay ones for years now and about 80% of them have been just fine and have lasted 6-12months based on the southern salty wet weather we get down here.

The ones I buy though are using the flatter style heads so look flush on my e46. The other type that are universal have curved centre heads so poke out and look aftermarket.

In Nov it was time for a new pair so I went back to basics and bought non flat ones. On the e46 non flat wipers fit completely "into" the wiper arm itself so look pretty pro, I think I'll keep these types now. The 80% of the flat ones that were good I found to be as good as original BMW (Bosch) factory ones. Lasted the same as well.

rG's wipers are custom fit, he can't just buy a pair off eBay like the ones being talked about as they will not fit.
