Is it possible to remove any traces of undeleted files from the free space? I accidentally deleted something but I can't remember what and tried to use undeleted util but thousands of folders have popped up. If I can clear these at least the next time I undelete something the list will be far smaller.

format the drive again
or have a look for a product that writes all 000000000000 to the hdd or theres is a program that just does a quick job and fills it in
the only way to complelty rid files of a drive is a large hammer an 1 stressed person :p

I don't want to format the drive (and in fact formatting still leaves undelete trace) just clear traces from deleted files. Dunno if it's possible?

I do a similar thing when I make disk/partition images (they compress far better), i just defrag and use the dd utility from cygwin to fill the free space with 0's by appending to a file until there is no free space remaining.
