Wiping Hard Drives

Hello hard drive gurus. What would you guys recommend for wiping hard drives a bit more thoroughly that a full format and zeroing of all blocks. I might be trying to sell my spare hard drives, and don't want other people knowing what was on there. At least without a load of hassle anyway
