Hello? 1983 is calling

As I understand it (I don't have a Wii) it doesn't work as a light gun per-se, a two inch hand movement to the left doesn't translate as the same on screen.

They can easily be calibrated to do so.

i know someone brought out a lightgun for lcd screens as old ones didnt work on them but im not sure about HD :confused:

if they copy the tech that the wii uses wont forum members just abuse them for copying good ideas ?

im hoping ones available in the near future too , and some nice new HD lightgun games

Act Labs have some that are PC compatible that support HD resolutions, not sure if they support anything other than CRT though. Pricey though

It was a thread on this forum along time ago with some one trying to get a light gun game working for their dreamcast on a monitor using the vga adapter, I cant remember what happened but I don’t think it worked.

a traditional light gun wont work on any TFT, flat screen, HDTV etc surely as it uses the refresh rate of old CRT tellys and monitors i think?

My dreamcast lightgun wouldn't work on the downstairs widescreen telly (crt) properly, worked great on the 4:3 one upstairs. Anyone know why it wouldn't work on widescreen at all ?

Yeah I had the same on mine when we switched to a new telly. It was down to it being 100hz whereas the old one was 50/60hxz

Why are people debating about the Wii? The wii doesnt use the same technology at all as light guns
