Hi Guys

Can any one recommend a wireless audio solution to cover 2 rooms? I would like to try avoid things like the BOSE which come straight up at the top of Google at nearly £500 ;)

Music will be sourced from a PC or Mac (undecided/flexible) but as long as it has a 3.5mm connection to connect to source I can't see that making a big difference?

The most important thing is that it needs to be reliable. I'm looking for something after getting tired of an airport express stop/starting lots.

Cheers!

Firstly why is the AX so flakey ? is it down to poor wireless coverage? If so it is unlikely another wireless solution will be much better. Other wise have a look at the logitech squeezebox range, or if budget allows, Sonos. I think both wil adequately suite your needs.

It's strange.

Mac 1 on wireless. If you play from this to the speakers on the AX then it's stop starts. If I get another Mac which is wired (not one I can leave set up like this permentently unfortently) and play the music from the library on Mac 1 then over to the AirPort Express, it's fine.

Mac1 -(wireless)-> AX = fail
Mac1 -(wireless)-> Mac2 -(wired to switch)-> wirless-> AX = fine!

It can push the music out fine via the "shared" function in iTunes over the wireless to another PC but not to the AX. Not sure what to blame TBH!
