wireless card issue!!

hi all,

i am currently using a Edimax 802.11n draft 2.0 PCI wireless card EW-7728IN

now since upgrading to windows 7 the wirless card keeps on dropping the wirless connection and the only way to get it to reconnnect is to restart the router which is coming a fustrating.

i have downloaded the latest driver that edimax say is for windows 7 but the installation made no diffference and the same problem keeps on occuring.

i just wondered if anyone can recommend a decent card( i also have a problem with signal strength as the router is upstairs) that definatly works with windows 7. as i allowed some funds to purchase a new card as i thought that the current card may not be compatable.

budget is not really a concern as long as it works with w7 and picks up a good signal!

Are you using a fixed IP? What channel(s) are you using? I would personally try to get the Edimax card working. First things I would play with are the router channel(s) and fixing the IP address on the card. If you need better range, you could always get some new antennae for the card and/or router.
