Wireless Conectivity problem with Lenovo 3000

Hi
I bought a lenovo 300 n200 laptop over the week end, and have been having on and off problems trying to get it to connect to our wrireless router. The router is a netgear DG834GT and the laptop has an inbuild intel pro wireless 3945. Ive updated the drivers still to no avail
Any ideas??

Sorry forgot to mention, it has the problem when going though the DHCP process
