Wireless connection issue - invalid IP configuration

Hi guys.

I have just tried to connect my PC to our wireless router. It's a bebox if that's important.

It shows there is a connection with pretty good strength, but it says "unidentified network" and i have no Internet access. I don't think the issue is with the router as my phone, ipad and mums laptop work fine over the wireless

I don't have a clue how to sort this out. I've tried restarting both the PC and the router but that didn't help (not that i thought it would).

EDIT: I have just used the diagnose tool in network settings and it it saying that "Wireless network connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration"

Any help with this issue is appreciated!

Thanks, Tom

LOL at all my updates to this.

After numerous times of clicking on 'Diagnose' and resetting the connection it seems to have caved in to my persistence! It works now :D

EDIT: just seen your 2nd post, you seem to have sorted that problem ahh my bad

i've come across a similar problem and i find a simple:

ipconfig/release an renew command from the command prompt does the trick.

Follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Click on start button.

2. Type cmd in the start search box and press enter.

3. Right click on the “cmd” and run as administrator.

4. Type the commands “ipconfig /release” and “ipconfig /renew” without the quotes.

Hope this information is helpful.

Try this and let me know, and what OS are you currently running?
