Wireless connection problems on talk talk router

Yeah i know its a pants router but could the below be anything to do with my toshiba laptop with a 8188ce wireless chipset keep losing connection?
In fact anything wireless although mine more than most.

I remember having issues with my wireless on my laptop i went to system settings >device manager > wireless card > and un checked > allow computer to turn off device to save power

yeah i tryed that

brand new laptop as well but its fine at other places so must be this router in some way
