Wireless file transfer time out or fail

Hi guys, i find if i try to transfer my laptop files to my main pc, it times out, or says the connection is no longer avalible.
Usally with in 3-4 mins of transfer.
I have tried other channels and still get the problem, my internet con is good otherwise.

any suggestions please. network is not set to ad hoc mode. :confused:

what equipment do you use? Every wireless system i've used does similar

Is it a Netgear?

Its

A linksys adsl router, a netgear usb2 108mbs wireless card, and a netgear pcima card.

Hmm a problem with that could be that they have different chipsets... the Netgear's with be either Atheros or Ralink, and the Linksys will be Broadcom, and Broadcom and Atheros don't seem to work together too well.
