Hey,
Just attempting to buy a wireless 360 remote for my PC, although the pirce tag n that dam wireless adapter is ridiculous.
Is there any working alternative at all?

Or should i just bite the dust and get a wired? Wouldnt have minded less wires tbh

i seen them availaible with the receiver somewhere for a bargain £30 for handset and receiver, i'll go see if i can find where from

there's no alternatives unfortunately.

the freedom with a wireless pad is definitely worth the extra though imo :)

Well worth the £30. The receiver alone used to cost £14.99 (I bought 2 at that price) so just sell the spare controller for £15 you will easily get that for it.

Also, one wireless receiver will work for two 360 pads (if you have any games like SF4, for example) :)

There one from ****.com, that one that sounds like a verb for £27.99.

it doesnt mention it comes with a receiver but it does have "for windows in the name", and some of the user comments suggest it does come with it.

Anyone wanna have a loook and see what you think?

There is actually, if you have a bluetooth reciever you can use the wireless sony ps3 pad, though not officially supported.

I meant there are no alternatives specific to the 360 wireless receiver :)

God knows why, as it seems like a simple device to manufacturer - I'd have assumed you'd be able to get cheap knock-off receivers from Hong-Kong on ebay that work with the 360 pad by now.

The SixAxis apparently works fairly well with third party drivers - well, all except for the sixaxis part - but the 360 pad is natively supported in a large number of PC games, which the PS3 pad isn't.

i paid about 11 quid for mine and never had any issues...works perfectly.
why would you even want an alternative when it can connect 4 wireless controllers if your mates came round...just incase you all play fifa or pro evo on a big screen .:p

It really is well worth the money for the controller and receiver, you should get it, but I find it eats up the batteries a bit, so best have rechargable batteries to hand

I've got actually battery packs & charger stand and they last ages - not sure what batteries are inside but I want some!

Just ended up getting a wired remote from gamestation last night.
£14.99, can't go wrong really. I may invest in a wireless one later on when i need 2 for some multiplayer :)

Hopefully Grid will be in the post when i get home, can't wait to try it out on my 50" ;)
