wireless hdd'

well my parents are thinking of buying a wireless hdd so i thought i would pop on here and ask if anyone is using one and how they find them? are they good? whats data transfer like?(there internet speed is 8 meg).

is there a wireless hdd you could recomend?
how do they connect to the wireless? do you plug them in first to setup the wireless then hey presto or?

any help would be much appreciated

I've not seen many wireless HDDs about and those that I have tend to have some fairly odd limitations.

What sort of router do your parents have? Some will take a USB HDD and allow you to share it wirelessly. Even if it doesn't support that then a simple NAS hardwired to the router is going to be a better option than a wireless HDD.
