Hi folks,

I came here to ask this simple question because there is such a wealth of knowledge here and its never failed me yet.
So I'm asking if anyone can suggest a set of over-ears type of light weight headphone for listening to TV. My mum is a bit hard of hearing these days and she really would like something to assist in actually hearing the audio content of repeats of Lovejoy instead of being content with staring at his posterior.

I have as much idea of how these things plug into a TV as to why females have fixations with Ian McShanes 'glutes' - maybe someone can enlighten me please and suggest a pair...... of headphones.

Regards
Scotty

One from the Sennheiser RS range maybe?

They are rather pricey for what I was thinking of. I'm considering just running a cable to a small speaker and position it appropriately. I was asking about how it might plug into the TV because the jack socket will disable the TV speaker and this is not desirable, the ideal setup is normal TV sound with additional headphone/speaker arrangement. I expect that a speaker added to any output that is not the jack socket will require amplification and so requires a bit of thought.
Suggestions are appreciated.

Regards
Scotty

Anything you plug into the headphone socket is going to mute the speakers and I don't know of any products that can bypass that.
