I've found a few just browsing the rainforest seller, and I've narrowed it down to:
Logitech G930 - £100
Creative Soundblaster Tactic3D Wrath -£67
Corsair Vengeance 200- £108

I'm thinking of buying one as I'm moving to a house at uni in a couple of weeks and I won't have room for a desk, as such I'll probably have to use the pc from my bed and won't want wires all over the place. I don't play competitive FPS so I don't need the mutt's nuts, just something for gaming/movies/music at 2am when I don't want to wake up the housemates

Is it worth going for one of the more expensive ones, or can I save myself £30 and go for the Soundblasters? Or would it be better to go for something else entirely?

Cheers.

I haven't listened to any of them personally but that's a pretty glowing review from TechRadar. I might have to sell my G35s which have, overall, been pretty underwhelming and have only been used when I needed a mic - when I'm just gaming on my own or without skype I prefer to borrow my brother's Panasonic HTF600s or whatever they're called.

Just sold my G35s and about to place an order for the Creative set, I'll let you know how they go :)

EDIT: GODDAMMIT. They bumped the price up by £13 over the space of one night

If you don't mind not having voice chat, they have the Steelseries 7XB at just over £50. I'd have snapped them up if I didn't need voice chat on PC

Ordered a second hand pair of the Creative's in the end. It came down to the Wrath, a Chimaera 2.1, a second hand of either of those two or just waiting and using my brother's Panasonic HTF600s until one of them drops back down to the c. £65 price point. Figured I'd get bored of waiting and resent having to use a desk mic in the meantime.

If they're in rubbish condition (unlikely) then I'll send them back and go to the last option and just wait, I wouldn't feel right spending £15 more than I was going to on the headphones, and the Chimaera has too many downsides (being massive, for one) despite looking really, really cool
