Wireless help

Well i've been with Virgin Media for awhile, and decided to go wireless.

Received the net gear add on, but now i need the part that plugs into my pc .

Anyone show me what i need?

My internet is 10mb if that makes any difference.

cheers - well my mum has the same one, so i've borrowed hers.

connects alright but signal is very low.

any way of making it stronger?

If you're only 10m (i assume meters, not minutes

) away from the router, then you should have a very strong signal. Is there a wall, ceiling etc in the way?

You may have interference from other nearby networks, if your router has the ability to automatically choose the best channel, then turn it on. Otherwise it may be a bit of trial and error.

But, if you're not moving around much and not noticing any problems in your actual internet connectivity then you may be able to just forget about it and carry on.

i'm upstairs, the router is down stairs.

to be fair i've always got 14mbps at least so there is any problem really.
