Providers being Bulldog, Easynet (aka UK Online), Homechoice, and Tiscali have an LLU operation going on too. Some other ISPs have LLU setups either ongoing or in the pipeline.
The end product is that generally, you'll get as much as your line can handle. So in other words, you might get more - but it's not guaranteed. Line stats (attenuation, SNR margin, transmit power) might help when it comes to judging if you'd get more. But of course, that requires an existing working ADSL service.
