Wireless keyboard lagging with games and typing

Hi i have a wireless keyboard thinking this would be a better thing to take up less space and no wires hanging.

I've noticed that it can't keep up with my typing if i go fast, often missing keys i've typed.

Also when gaming it dosn't seem responsive enough to move when i want it 2, and it gets stuck on keys sometimes, even thou im not pressing it any longer.

Is this the same with all wireless keyboards or are there better ones out there.

I did get a cheapish keyboard thou, because i always end up spilling beer or drinks on it and killing them.

Something is wrong, is as fast as wired as a KB is only so fast (PS2 is suffice).

I only use Logitech period, they have FastRF and newer ones seem to be all Bluetooth 2.0 (I ideally do not like Bluetooth for my own reasons) nothing to do with fact of this use.

to be honest you get what you pay for
if you only pay a few quid your not guarentted a quality item
if your what to use a wireless keyboard you may want to look at the logitech one's as they seem to be better built
for gaming puropose's a usb wired keyboard is usually better again a better quality one rather than a cheap generic one.

No it will be due to his keyboard i had it a couple of day's ago was due to the batteries in mine's needing changed i was typing and only a third of the character's were showing up on screen. OP's prob could be same as mine but it sound's more like they have been having the issue since they bought the keyboard hence my earlier post.

i dont get any lag during gaming as i have a cyber snipa gaming keypad. not that i had any before bought that to make gaming easier as the keys are set out better

Where is the sensor located compared to the keyboard?

I've got a Logitech wireless keyboard on my living-room PC and find I need line-of-sight to the sensor or I get a lot of lag.

Try changing the batteries , that could cause it to miss keystrokes , if that dont work it must be the keyboard itself, what make and model is it ?? go to the manufacturers website and check the forums for simalar problems, it also could be driver problems

Why not use wired, aren't you going to be sat at a desk anyway?

Second that,

I personally wouldnt use either wireless keyboard of mice for sitting at desk gaming or doing something that requires to be 100% precise.

Wireless has been made so that you can move around - presentations - watching tv - browsing internet on your badass 30" monitor from 4m away.

Not for gaming or typing 600cpm sitting @ your desk.

Even if you buy the 200quid wireless stuff it wont be as good as wired.
Just for the same reason laptops arent as powerfull as desktops - simple.

But logitech stuff is generally good quality stuff anyways.
Ive never had anything other than a logitech keyboard
ive always stuck by razor for mice :p

I had a problem with a TV sender interfering with a wireless keyboard and mouse (notepad style), turned of the sender and its miles better (still not as good as wired if I’m honest), don’t suppose other electronics could be the problem?

thanks for all your help, raised the keyboard reciever up higher so it gets a good line of sight, working a lot better now, worked crap if level with the keyboard.

Oh ive just gone back to a old ps2 keboard cos my g15 had bust, and it wont let me press more then 2keys down at once, its a real pain for playing games on.. Is this normal with ps2 keyboards?
