Wireless Keyboard Recommendations

I've had a Logitech G613 for a good few years now, but it's getting a little annoying in repeating some key presses. It used to only do this when the batteries were low, but now it seems to be becoming a more common thing.

Having just moved away from a Logitech mouse (to a Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed... and coincidentally enough I have a new Razer headset) I was wondering if I should bite the bullet and get a new keyboard.

I'd like it to be wireless and good for gaming (but I'm no Pro, so no need for a £300 keyboard!) lighting might be handy but not essential, numpad needed, USB C chargeable would be preferred and I guess mechanical (I want to be able to feel when I've hit a key, if that makes sense?).

I'd think anything below £40 was probably a bit cheap and anything over around £130 is probably wasted on me... but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks. Noob question/confirmation incoming. I assume, even though it's US layout, I just select UK/ENG in my OS and I get my £ back and " over my 2 key?

Plus one for Keychron, I have a Keychron K10 Pro Cherry Brown switches which is wireless, it is lovely to type on and holds its charge for a decent amount of time.
 
G915 - I've had it for years. Reliable and does the job well. Downside is if you lose a key cap Logitech does sell replacements.
 
Righto, I went the V6 Max! Thanks. (I'd been tempted by the Keychron previously, so a few recommendations was enough to make me pull the trigger)

I got the V1 Max and think it's the best keyboard i have owned and the first hot swappable one.

I do usually have it wired, but am just trying out the Bluetooth and seems to be working fine (backlights will run the battery down quick i suppose).

If you went for UK ISO and want different keycaps, they can be hard to find in stock over here, i ended up getting some from China and am very happy with them. I also put some silent switches in as well.

I got some GMK (nightshade) clones from the 'other' place for a bit over £20, I think the sets that are ~170 caps usually have all the ISO modifiers you'd need, but worth spending some time peeping the pics.

(I am also overly attached to a proper UK ISO layout :P )

Same here.

A bit ago i got a very cheap ANSI keyboard to try and just did not get on with it. :(

I got some grey and cream YMK profile keycaps for ~ £25 delivered. Am happy with them, but do wish it came with a proper Windows key instead of a "Code" key.
 
It should be noted Keychron's delivery is quite slow. Their website says 2-3 business days, so I actually waiting until Tuesday to order, as I would be out Wednesday, but 6 days later and it's only just leaving Hong Kong...

It did take about 2 weeks for mine to arrive, but it was worth the wait.

Think they mean they will get it in the post in 2-3 days, after that it is up to the courier how fast delivery is.

When will I get the item?

Yeah, tbf they do clearly state it. I'd done the classic, click 'shipping' and look for a time frame without actually reading what it said.
 
I'm using the Logitech MX Master at the moment for work and home. Not sure if it's considered "good for gaming" but as a keyboard it feels very nice and polished. Bit on the pricey side though

I do like the typing feel, very nice indeed.

My only problem now I have 2.4ghz keyboard and mouse, they don't report in to my widget that displays battery life. Oddly, my Razer mous does and I'm reasonably sure that uses 2.4ghz...

Mind you, I've just google'd and seen I press Fn + B and it animates a battery level in the LED's behind the top row. That's rather cool :cool:
 
I'm actually wondering about getting a 65% and carry case to pair with my work laptop. Anyone have any recommendations for the small size? A K6 looks like it would fit the bill. Any thoughts on the low profile options, like a K7?
 
I suppose if your going to carry it about with your laptop, the low profile of the K7 may be best. Not to keen on the open edges though, but that is just my opinion.

If you ever need to swap/replace switches or keycaps the K6 would be easier.

My choice would be the K6.
