Wireless Mouse For Gaming?

My m8 keeps banging on at me to get a wired gaming mouse as im using logitec mx610 right handed laser wireless. I do find someties that the cordless phone wifi and other things interfeer with it but i like it so bought a usb extension cable and the dongle sits about a foot away from the mouse and it's great....but id still say not quite as good as my m8's mx518 wired gaming mouse, it just seems a lot more accurate......

Every wireless mouse i've ever used has suffered with lag issues. Some people will swear there is no lag, but unfortunately i've always noticed it. As stated above the Razer Mamba promises to be good but for the current price tag I'd just go wired.

dont bother with the mamba, i own it and believe me the battery life is rubbish, maybe last a day and then flat as a pancake, you dont even get a warning, mine spends most of its time wired lol, mamba = fail

I've used a logitech mx1000 for the last 3 years and i've never had a problem. Infact i dont think i could ever go back to using a wired mouse, it's just easier with wireless and gives you more space etc

It easily lasts 3 days at least and the warnings are the 3 little lights on the side of it.

Maybe you should RMA yours because it sounds faulty.

im using a logitech v450 cordless lazer mouse that isnt touted as a mouse for gamers but i get no mouse lag and i do just aswell as my old wired "gaming" mouse in the fps games i play.

I can recommmend the mamba as a good choice! I know its expensive but imho it is the best mouse i have ever used by a long shot. The battery life is acceptable and can be used in wired mode if it does run out of juice mid game.

I have yet to come across a wireless mouse that has no lag.

But then Ive not used the razer mamba, which is understandable given its price tag!

Logitech G7 Carbon Edition.

Got one and it looks awesome, but really is one of the best mice I've ever used, haven't changed it or ever wanted to change it - Extremely responsive and the battery charging system is excellent!

I think the main reason people don't use wireless for gaming is due to the fact of battery life.

Typical scenario - Playing a match of something, needing to pull off a shot or find some cover and bang, the battery dies.

gg you lose!

I know it has certainly happened to me in the past :)

That was the advantage of the g7, it warned you with 10 mins to go, came with 2 battery packs and a charging dock/usb receiver so you could keep playing without any problems. I loved mine until it stopped clicking a few years ago, was given a g9 on rma which just broke and has been replaced with a g500. :p

To the op, after more than my fair share of wired and wireless mice, I can safely say stick with wired. Get a cheap wireless to go with the corded gaming mouse if you must but wireless gaming mice are overpriced, the battery doesn't last very long and did I say overpriced? :p

£90 for a mouse?

Never had a problem gaming with my MX1000, I certainly don't notice any lag or similar. Even with it getting old and the battery being a lot weaker it still lasts a few days without issue.
