Wireless Mouse For Gaming?

Wireless are too heavy and prone to running out at inconvenient times. Admittadly my opinion is based entirely on the mouse that came with this pc, but it was dreadful.

Sticking with my MX518 wired mouse, the weight in comparison is ridiculous. If you need a cable length longer than what you get with the mouse something is seriously wrong with your set up.

I use the Mamba (with a Razer Sphex) & love it.

Battery lasts me a few days if I don't charge it. When its getting low I juts plonk it on the cradle/dock overnight & its charged in the morning. Its pretty simple really...

id wager my g9 is heavier than most wireless mice and definately preferable to my mx518's weight imo

Never had a problem gaming with my MX1000, I certainly don't notice any lag or similar. Even with it getting old and the battery being a lot weaker it still lasts a few days without issue.

MX1000 is pretty bad imo. Suffers with lag and if you pick the mouse up the laser takes 1-2 secs to sort itself out.

dont bother with the mamba, i own it and believe me the battery life is rubbish, maybe last a day and then flat as a pancake, you dont even get a warning, mine spends most of its time wired lol, mamba = fail

Charge it when youre not using it?

The battery life on mine is also the same, but charging it whenever you're not using it solves the problem. It's enough to easily last the day, put it on the charger when you go to bed.

any of you guys been hardcore fps gamers who have changed from wired to wireless and would recommend wireless and if so which mouse ?

better stability in my experiance, in slow movements and twitching. it suits me better, which is why most of the high end mice come with weights you can add.

I'm the same. When I can I pack the mouse full of all of it's weights. Just feels nicer and smoother when it is heavy.

I have a Razor Orochi, i came over from a mx518, and i wouldnt go back, its a brilliant mouse and it also has the option to go wired aswell.

I've used a wireless mouse for around, 5 or 6 years I reckon. Firstly a logitech optical, of some vintage that ran on AA bats, it was never laggy but did run out in matches quite a lot :)

Since then I've used a logitech MX700 and it's absolutely fine for gaming. It's now very old and worn but still tracks true and I've just, this very day, migrated it to my new Win 7 PC. I guess at some point I'll get a Darkfield MX jobby, until then the old MX lives on :)

I've got an MX Revolution. Came from an MX518. No complaints. Battery last for absolutely ages (we're talking about a week or so on a full charge here, with plenty of use, or if its getting very heavily used it still lasts best part of a week), no major tracking or response issues, unless its been off for a while where it takes a second to 'snap in', good range on it too.

Cost me £50 about a year ago, the original version stopped charging fully with the red light charging error recently, and they just sent me out a brand new one, new mouse, dock and all, and allowed me to keep the original. Pretty hardy as well, been lobbed into my laptop pack with other accessories more than a few times and no major 'scars'.

Unless you need a very high DPI, I've no qualms recommending the MX Revolution if you can find it for the right price (~40-50). Plenty of customisable buttons for use too!

I cant see the new version being worse, but its a bit pricey right now, so if you can find the MX Rev...

I'd second the MX Revolution. Very comfortable, well made, there's no noticeable lag or sluggishness that I can tell, but then again I've never used a 'gaming' mouse.
