Is there any hang ups with wireless components whilst gaming. I dont want to go wireless if delays make for bad gaming

i think it depends upon the quality of your equipment, if you get some cheap wireless keyboard and mice combo, then i think you will suffer however if you get something that is well made then you wont really notice that much of a difference.

Go for a decent brand and you shouldn't have problems. I've had my Logitech MX3100 set for over 3 years now and I've never had gaming problems with it. Always performs well.

Looking at getting an MX5500 set soon.

Keep a spare mouse battery taped to the back of your monitor, and you'll be fine.

Otherwise, at 4am, in the dead of winter when there's horizontal sleet outside and the nearest 24hr garage is 3 miles away, the battery WILL die, unannounced too.

Most of Logitechs Mice Recharge on the cradle/reciever, the KB batteries should last 1 year or more if Duracel M3's.

You get prior warning via Setpoint software when batteries get low and on some models there is actual battery meters build into the mice and KB's

Awesome, just got a reply back from Logitech, they're replacing my MX3100 set (the mouse middle-click intermittently stops working sometimes) with the MX5500 set for free! Awesome customer service there. I've spent lots of money with Logitech over the years, so it's reassuring to see they treat their customers well.
