Not heard anything back from them since contacting them about a year ago. I might give it another go though.

Just to update everyone. I bought a VX Revolution and the tracking is just so much better than the LX8. The LX8 doesn't have much response lag, but the VX is still more responsive. But more importantly, the VX tracks the fast movements I make. It's also a little better at tracking on different surfaces :)
 
I had the VX but alas, my hands are not baby hands so the bugger kept slipping away!
 
I had the mx1000 for ages and it was great but It died after 2 years of abuse so logitech replaced it with the MXrevolution which is even better, It performs about the same in games but I don't know how I browsed the web without this scroll wheel,
 
I have the mx1100 right now but I miss the MX Revolution so I'm due to buy another revolution soon :p

I have a G9, it's very very good. Comes with adjustable weights, 2 different grips, it's very sensitive and responsive. Superb piece of kit, logitech sent me one after my g7 broke. I'd still prefer a wireless mouse though but logitech haven't made a follow up to the g7, god knows why.
 
I have the MX Revolution, great mouse. It might not be very responsive compared to other mice (I don't know, I'm not sensitive to these things), but it tracks just fine. I'm using mine on a rough wooden surface and it doesn't miss anything. It doesn't SEEM laggy, but like I said, either I'm not sensitive to that, or it genuinely isn't laggy.
