wireless N router recommendation and questions

I want a wireless N router for my HD content streaming as the G just don't have enough bandwidth.

can someone recommend me a good router with solid range and performance, my budget is between 30-50 quid so no real expensive types.

also i have notice there has been already some updates on N protocol, i have seen some 300mbps ones i presume thats type 2.0 My laptop supports 150mbps is that a draft N? so question is the N protocol backwards compatible?

I think you're going to struggle to get an N router for that money. The cheapest OcUK sell is £60 inc. VAT (Netgear DGN2000).

I've got a Linksys WAG160N which I picked up for about £75. Stable but there are some issues with the Wireless adapter so I am running at 130 Mbps at the moment.

As far as I know the protocol is backward compatible.
