I have a wireless G router connected to my cable modem and several wireless G devices. Everything is fine indoors, but I'd like to be able to connect to the web from my garden.. and 25m+ from my wireless G router and through 2 walls = no/poor signal.

If a purchased a wireless N router, I know my G devices would only work at "G" speeds - but would I see any range benefits for my G devices?

As far as I know wireless N doesnt increase the range or power of the signal. You may have to buy an additonal antenna for increased range.

If you can't reposition your current router for all-round coverage then Duke's suggestion is best. If cabling back to the main router isn't practical then maybe combine with homeplugs for that leg.
