I would like to connect a network to the internet by bridging to another wireless network.

I currently have a netgear WGE111 and a Netgear DG834GT

Has anyone been able to succesfully do this, or recomend a way to do this?

Netgear have KB articles specifically about wifi bridging. Search for WDS Point-to-Point Bridging.

If the two networks are not under the same control e.g. the same company or same household, then I'd highly recommend using routers to firewall between them and restrict access to the gateway only. Standard bridging would link them the same as a cable so everything would need to be on the same IP subnet and any PC could talk to any other PC which might be a security risk e.g. in case of open fileshares and viruses.
