Wireless network card problems

I just upgraded my laptop to windows 7, and my internal wireless card no longer works reliably. It is not supported in windows.

Xan anyone recommend a cheap wireless USB or PCCard device suitable for a laptop (no trailing wires or antena, must be small) that works in Win7.

My home network is only a 108mps network, so it doesn't have to be blazingly fast.

I never thought of that. I assumed that like other laptop components, they needed to be made for specific laptops. Where would I find such things?

That's pretty small - is it's range decent? I'll be using mine on the other side of the house, up a floor, from my wireless router. It does look tempting.

Also, in general, are USB devices better than PCMCIA cards?
