hey guys,

I'm having some trouble with my wireless setup at home.

I currently have a netgear DGN2000 router a laptop a HTPC (also wireless) and a smart phone.

My problem is that I can't connect both the laptop and the HTPC wirelessly to my router at the same time as they seam to cancel each other out.

If I use either one or the other I have no troubles, which makes me think they are interfering. They are all in the same room (my front room downstairs) so signal strength isn't an issue.

I have tried changing the channel number on the router but this has made little difference.

Is there any thing I can do so I can have them both connected at the same time??

Cheers in advance!

no. there is no errors. no IP confilts.

They just fail to see the AP at all. If I turned them both off and then turn one on it will work fine. If I do the same with the other it too will work ok. The issue is when I turn them both on at the same time. Neither will see the AP and neither will connect to anything.

????

I've also just noticed that the wireless keyboard that I use on HTPC (also 2.4ghz) has a very limited singal when both machines are on and trying to use the wireless network.

Strangly if only one machine is on (either laptop or htpc) the keyboard works fine.

I'm complety lost.

HELP!

nobody got any suggestions???

I really do need to get this working properly and I'm willing to give all suggestions a try!!

Cheers in advance

is your wireless isolation active on your router? try both

is your DHCP address pooling allowing for 2 or more address allocations, i.e. 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.200

check the default MTU (advanced settings) on your router and thos as specified for the HTPC and pc - are they the same?
