I recently just got a little side-job for some guy asking me to set up a wireless network for him... the thing is, the computers he want me to link up are terrible...

It took quite some time to get the network set up, In the end I had to do it from a laptop instead because his computer doesnt even have an ethernet port...

anyway... after i got the wireless network set up well (I'm using it right now from a laptop) I got the adapter installed and working on this ancient pc.

All was well, about to head home, then i found out that if they try to use internet eplorer or firefox, the computer freezes totally and you need to reboot the system ¬_¬

any ideas as to howthis could be? trying to get it fixed ^^;

What kind of machine does he have?

You might be able to speed his machine up with some cleaning out rubbish exercise cleaning up temp folders etc, then do some scans for viruses and spyware.

If you are lucky this might solve the freezing problem. If not there is two options wipe the system and do a fresh install of the OS this will probably make it work ok but if we are talking ancient rubbish system...tell him to get a new pc :)
