Wireless NIC for ubuntu laptop

Hi all,

I want a wireless network wi fi card for a dell c840 running ubuntu linux dapper drake...just wondering if anyone knows of any compatible....not even sure if it has pcmcia slots or mini pci slots on the side.

edit: am looking for a pcmcia card.

anyone got any ideas?

need a pcmcia wireless card for a laptop that works with ubuntu linux? or has drivers on the net that I can download and install.

If you can, look for something based on a Ralink or an Atheros chipset. I think some of the Belkin PCMCIA cards use Ralink chipsets.

Alternatively just take the plunge and then hack around with ndiswrapper to get it working under Linux
