Wireless printer & win xp probs

Not too familiar with wireless printers but can you create a standard tcp/ip port with the printers IP address when installing under XP?
 
sorted,, what a lot of faffing around to get it working on xp... With vista it just pops up in networks. But no not in xp, you have todo about 10 steps to get it working in xp. Well I guess its something else learnt
 
Now the thing is do carry on using genuine inks when the ones that has come with it runs out. Cos Ive found a site that I can get 3 packs of inks for £35 and I can only buy 1 pack of genuine inks for £35,, ummmmmmmm

The printer Ive got it a epson sx515w, I know what your saying "Not Epson arggghhh". But my last printer was a epson dx4800 and even that I used it like a workhorse for 6yrs, it never let me down. Id say i have printed over 2000 photos over the 6yes, plus use the scanner a awful lot too, and all with compatable inks,, but the last inks I got for it was totally rubbish, keep clogging up. But not bad for 6yrs, and I guess if I bought some decent inks it would be fine again. But the main reason for getting a new printer is over the last year my photo printouts has been getting brighter and brighter for some unknown reason.
