Hi
Wondering if anyone can help. I am trying to connect my house mates laptop (Fujitsu Siemens Amilo) to my wireless 3Com network, but in the windows network list nothing is being displayed. The wireless device in the laptop is
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG

Any help or advise would be great!
cheers
Neil

Have you disabled the SSID broadcast?

if you have the laptop won't be able to see it

if this is the case enter the details manually and see if it connects
(I have previously found hiding the SSID more hassle than it's worth, it's easy to find it so offers no real protection other than against people who don't know how to find it who would be put off by wep encryption never mind anything else)

EDITED to make more sense

May sound silly but is there a network adaptors management application supplied by Fujitsu?

I ask because with Panasonic notebooks there is and when the wireless is off even though it's enabled according to windows it won't pick up networks

Do you have the latest drivers for the intel wireless card in the laptop? I have had problems before with older versions of drivers for the same card. Do you have any security setup on the router? Have you tried disabling it and seeing if you can connect?
