Wireless question (poss idea)

So I recently moved to Sky Broadband where they gave the router and access point combined box that I already sort of had which are now of no use to me. I was wondering if you could plug something like say a xbox 360 or a PC into my spare wireless access point and have that then communicate with the sky wireless?

It depends if the AP you've got can work as a wireless client.

Is it a proper aceess point? or a wireless router?

Its a Wireless access point only.

Apparently only the v3 has support for wireless client mode.
